Seashore chief's wife arrested for fraud

Bhubaneswar: The commissionerate police arrested Jyotirani Sarangi, the wife of Seashore Group chairman Prashant Dash, in a fraud case in Laxmisagar area here on Tuesday.

Jyotirani was booked by the cops for allegedly defrauding people of Rs 90 lakh in Rourkela. The court of sub-divisional judicial magistrate (SDJM), Rourkela, had issued a non -bailable warrant against her.

A case had been registered with Raghunathpalli police in 2013 in this regard. The police had moved court seeking a warrant against the woman

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probing multi core chit fund scam had quizzed Jyotirani for hours in 2014.

She was a member of the board of directors of the Seashore Group. She was interrogated about the financial transaction of the company.
