Bolangir: State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities (SCPD) Minati Behera today began probe into the mysterious death case of a differently-abled (Divyang) woman caretaker in Bolangir district two days ago.

Behera visited BC Jena Memorial Seva Kendra, a home for People with Disabilities and enquired about the death case of Nalini Pradhan, the woman caretaker who used to work in the home for differently-abled. She held discussions with the head of the Seva Kendra and other officials.

After investigating the matter, Behera blamed the seva kendra owner Bibhuti Jena to be responsible for the death of the young woman. "I found that Jena is involved in the case since he used to forcefully bring her from her house and exploit her sexually,"

Behera said investigation is going on and the findings will be placed in the final written report. "A case numbered 95/16 has been registered and reports on the matter has been sought from the District Collector, SP,"

"After they submit compliance reports, legal recourse will be taken and the commission will act accordingly," she added.

It is to be noted that Nalini, the woman caretaker, died on Tuesday under mysterious condition inside the premises of the seva kendra.

Locals staged a protest by keeping her dead body before the district Collectorate and demanded actions against the seva kendra owner.

The deceased's family members allege that the owner of seva kendra where Nalini used to work is behind her death. They said that the owner had lured her with the promise of good pay and exploited her sexually.
