Saraswati Puja celebrated with religious fervour

Bhubaneswar: Saraswati Puja also known as Shree Panchami or Basant Panchami is being celebrated with much fervour in all educational institutions across the State today.

Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and wisdom, is being worshipped by students in schools, colleges and universities. Special prayers were also organised at various institutions.

Besides, several puja committiess have also orgainsed special Puja at Puja Mandaps in Bhubaneswar.  Dance and music institutes also celebrate the occasion as Goddess Saraswati is also considered the deity of art forms.

The festival marks the beginning of spring season.
