Rourkela: Police today arrested two more persons for their links with members of the banned outfit People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI).

The arrested persons have been identified as PLFI member Sunil Hansda’s elder brother Anil Hansda and Samiti Member of Kuarnmunda block of Sundergarh district, Sandip Dang.

Earlier on Wednesday, Sunil Hansda and Jaypal Tapno were arrested after an exchange of fire with the police forces in Raibaga area of the district. Police had seized two guns, bullets and huge amount of explosives from them.

"Two persons were arrested from the spot and two rifles along with two motorcycles were seized. During interrogation we found involvement of two more persons among whom was the elder brother of Sunil Hansda - Anil, in whose house area commander of the outfit Bijay Dang and his associates were camping since few days. Further interrogation also revealed the involvement of Sandip Dang, a Samiti Member of the area. He has also been arrested," said Sundargarh SP Pinak Mishra.

In another incident a Maoist camp was busted during a joint operation by Rourkela Police and CRPF in Jharbeda forest under Chandiposh police limits of the district today. Police seized 100 live bullets, large amount of explosives, various Maoist literatures and other materials from the forest.
