Russian national among two drown in sea in Puri

Puri: Two persons including a Russian national drowned while taking bath in the sea here today.

Report said a Russian tourist drowned while was taking bath near Light House area of the beach this afternoon.

As informed by the Sea Beach Police, the deceased, identified as Udartsev Anton, was staying at Gopal Lodge in Baliapanda area near the beach. Police recovered Visa document and 61 US dollar notes from his possession.

Earlier in the day, a CITU activist drowned in the sea while taking bath. He has been identified as Trishakti Patnaik of Sector-5 area in Rourkela city.

Police later sent the bodies to district headquarters hospital for post mortem.
