Sambalpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, who is on a three-day visit to Odisha, on Saturday visited Sambalpur to chair the Khetriya Baithak (convention) of six RSS organisational states starting today.

The joint secretary of RSS, V Bhaigaih, is also slated to attend the Baithak along with 250 delegates from organisational districts of RSS from Odisha, West Bengal, the Andaman and Nicobar islands and Sikkim.

According sources, Bhagwat will also address a public meeting at Mandalia ground in the town. Besides, he will also attend various sangha programmes during his two-day stay in Sambalpur.

Meanwhile, security arrangements have been tightened keeping RSS chief’s stay in the town.
