RS poll: Election Commission issues notification

Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: The Election Commission issued the notification for the biennial elections to 57 Rajya Sabha seats, including three from Odisha, on Tuesday.

The elections to the three seats of Odisha in the upper house will be held on June 11.

While the last date for filing of nomination is May 11, the verification of the nomination paper would be done on June 1. The election process will conclude on June 13.

Notably, the tenure of three Rajya Sabha members of Odisha - Pyari Mohan Mohapatra, Bhupinder Singh and Baishnab Parida is ending on July 1.
