Rs 9 lakh looted at gun point from bank in Jaleswar

Balasore: Armed miscreants on Thursday looted Rs 9 lakh at gunpoint from the cash counter of Bank of India’s Nuabazar branch in Jaleswar.

Sources said five miscreants posing as customers entered the bank at around 3:15 pm and later decamped with the cash by terrorizing bank officials with weapons.

A team of senior police officials rushed to the spot and are now trying to establish the identity of the miscreants involved in the loot by examining the CCTV camera footage.

The miscreants committed the crime in less than five minutes and escaped from the spot in two motorcycles, informed sources.
