Rs 3.33 lakh looted from businessman in Cuttack

Cuttack: In a daring daylight robbery, two unidentified bike-borne miscreants snatched a bag containing Rs 3.33 lakh in cash from a businessman on the busy streets of Badambadi here on Monday afternoon.

According to sources, the incident took place when a person named Patakada of Angul area visited Badambadi branch of Axis bank to deposit the cash at around 2 pm today.

As he was returning to his car after failing to deposit the cash at the branch for some reason, two bike-borne miscreants snatched the bag from him and fled, the sources added.

Following the incident, Patakada filed a written complaint in this regard with Badambadi police.
