Titlagarh: Inspector-in-charge of Railway Protection Force (RPF) Sushil Pathak has sustained severe injuries after he was attacked by three youths at Titlagarh late on Saturday night.

According to reports, three masked men detained Pathak near Old Malgodown area when he was returning to his staff quarters after completing his duty.

"Three youths without any provocation attacked me with iron rods and sticks," said Pathak.

Pathak further stated that though he had no enmity with anyone, the attack could be the fall out of the ongoing clampdown on illegal business activities at Titlagarh railway station.

"I am a service holder and have no past enmity. But few persons who wanted to do business illegally at the station might be behind the attack," Pathak added.
