Bhubaneswar: A Crime Branch team of Railway Police Force (RPF) started investigation into the case in which a transgender was pushed out of a moving train at Jajpur road recently.

The investigating team met the victim, Anu, a resident of Habalganda village under Rajkanika block in Kendrapara district. She was interrogated by the team about the circumstances which led to such unfortunate incident.

Anu had been pushed out of a moving train allegedly by some RPF personnel on January 21 while she was travelling from Bhubaneswar to Jajpur. She was grievously injured in incident. Jajpur Eunuch Association lodged a complaint with railway.

"We have demanded Rs 20 lakh compensation from the government for Anu and her family. she should get justice and the accused RPF personnel should be punished," a member of the, Kajol, said.

After interrogating the vicitm, probe official GK Das said, "We had to collect some documents of Anu and record her statement. A complaint had been received over the the incident after which an inquiry had been ordered".
