Role reversal: Actors Anubhav & Babushan turn news anchors

Bhubaneswar: In a first of its kind experience for cine stars of Ollywood and novel attempt by OTV, celebrity anchors Babushan and Anubhav hosted news shows.

Today Babushan presented news and though it was his first time, the actor who is seen as Sister Sridevi in Tarang Cine Productions' latest release, seemed comfortable and confident in his new role before the camera.

"Among the various professions I had wanted to pursue, being a news presenter was one and today I'm lucky this wish came true," said Babushan. Reading out a news item on Raja festival, Babushan even disclosed on the live news show that his mother, actress Aparajita, had always wanted a daughter and so he was made to wear frocks at home till Class 4.

Anubhav, who was the host of a news show on Monday, said he will always cherish this experience. "I'm an alien to this profession. I have immense respect for news reporters and everyone involved in news media," he said.

Playing 'the common man' in Tarang Cine Productions' latest Raja release Abhay, Anubhav said  issues like 'child labour' that he touched while presenting a news item, are part of what a common man comes across everyday.
