Robbery bid at Muthoot Finance foiled; 3 held

Cuttack: A robbery attempt at the Muthoot Finance building located in CDA Sector-6 of the city was foiled by a PCR van of the Commissionerate Police late last night.

While the miscreants were trying to loot the non-banking financial company’s CDA office, the timely response of the patrolling PCR van personnel by nabbing three looters derailed the robbery bid.

Police sources said three other looters managed to escape taking advantage of the poor light in the area.

Meanwhile, Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora reached the spot today morning to assess the situation.

Arora told newsmen, “A probe has been launched into the incident and details will be known once the process gets over.”
