Rishi death case: Friend ‘receives’ life threat, police assures security

Bhubaneswar: Deceased Rishi Mohanty’s friend, who had claimed yesterday there is a ‘link’ between the sex clip and the death of Rishi, on Monday said that his life is at risk.

He had revealed to media that his friend’s death is ‘directly’ linked to the video which was uploaded by a news website and got viral through social media.

“Soon after I told media more about the video, I received life threatening phone calls. All the incoming phone numbers were unknown to me”, he stated.

When asked about details about the conversation, he said they only threatened me.

“They didn’t say much but what I observed from their call is they want to eliminate me”, he pointed out.
Meanwhile the police said security will be provided to him.

“We are ready to provide security to Rishi’s friend who had shared some vital information with the media”, Police Commissioner Y B Khurania said.

Meanwhile the BJP has demanded that the police while expediting the probe on Rishi's death, must interrogate the second person who is seen in the video clip.
