Revenue Minister’s PA attacked in Puri

Puri: Personal assistant (PA) of Revenue Minister Maheswar Mohanty, Bhabani Prasad Sahu was injured in an attack by miscreants near Khakimatha Nuasahi in Puri town on Sunday.

Bhabani Prasad has sustained grievous injuries in head, face and legs after unidentified miscreants attacked him.

He was rushed to the Puri hospital and later shifted to a hospital in Bhubaneswar after his condition deteriorated.

The incident occurred at around 11: 30 pm when Bhabani was returning home along with his friend Somanath Sahu on a two-wheeler.

The miscreants’ way laid Bhabani Prasad and Somnath and attacked them with sword and other sharp weapons.

Though the exact reason is still unclear, police have launched a probe to ascertain whether the attack was the fallout of some political or business rivalry.
