Reshuffle in Odisha Police: Gajabhiye to take charge as SP, Computer

Cuttack: Senior IPS officer Satish Gajabhiye, the present Superintendent of Police (SP) at State Police Headquarters in Cuttack, has been transferred as the SP, Computer in Bhubaneswar, as per a notification of the State Home Department released on Wednesday.

Gajabhiye had been reinstated by the Home Department at the State Police Headquarters after the suspension order on him was revoked.

In a minor reshuffle in senior level OPS officers, the present SP, Computer KC Samal has been transferred as DCP, Traffic Bhubaneswar. Similarly, Additional SP of Bonai Prasant Kumar Jena on promotion to the grade of OPS Group-A (Super time Scale) has been appointed as the SP, CID, Crime Branch.

Another officer promoted from OPS Group-A (Senior Branch) to the grade of OPS Group-A (Super time Scale) is the present Cuttack SP (Rural) Madhab Chandra Sahoo.

As per the Super Time Scale, the officials have been given a pay band of Rs 15,600-39,100 plus Grade Pay of Rs 7,600.
