The Chhatisa Nijog, in a meeting held on Monday, decided to ask the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to finish the Natya Mandap repair work in three days.

"A wide crack was noticed in roof beam of the Natya Mandap during deplastering and ASI has been asked to begin the repair work," Jena added.

Besides, the Chhatisa Nijog decided to request ASI to complete all repair work of the temple before the Snana Jatra.

Jena added the temple administration will submit an affidavit on repair work before the Orissa High Court soon.

The meeting also discussed about temple rituals during lunar eclipse on January 31.

Meanwhile, rituals for chariot construction began on Monday on occasion of 'Basant Panchami'. Logs brought from Daspalla forest division were worshipped, known as 'Ratha Anukula', at the Ratha Khala (construction yard),.
