Bhubaneswar: A picture is worth a thousand words. To speak to the people about her past experience painter Medha Nayak has displayed her beautiful paintings at Odisha Modern Art Gallery here in an exhibition called “My Intimate Recollections”.

More than 40 paintings of Medha have been displayed here. These paintings are mostly in Acrylic medium and some in crayons as well.

Speaking to odishatv.in, painter Medha Nayak said, “Basically the paintings are the recollections of my travel as well as the connection with the nature. It has both city and village scape.”

Medha Nayak who belongs to Balasore is not a professionally trained painter. She started painting at the age of seven and now is a research scholar in English.

“Although she is not a professional artist, she has a huge interest in painting and her paintings are really beautiful in different media. She is happy to get a good platform to showcase her work at our gallery,” said founder of Odisha Modern Art Gallery,  Tarakant Parida.

The vibrant colours in Medha’s paintings are attracting many art-lovers of the capital. After a good turn-out on the first day, people are regularly visiting the gallery to see the paintings. This exhibition will continue till October 14.
