RDC reviews welfare works at Nagada

Jajpur: The Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC), Central Range, AB Ota on Saturday took stock of progress of various developmental works at Nagada here.

Speaking to media persons, Ota cited that the undergoing construction of a main road connecting to improve the connectivity in area will be completed by May 30. The RDC further said that the government is trying to take up the pending construction works of the internal roads on a war footing basis.

“Besides, we are trying to take up some livelihood initiatives under convergence mode so that quick development can be ensured,” the RDC said.

During this  second visit to the industrial area within a span of two months, Ota also held a review meet at the district collectorate office on various works related to drinking water, agricultural projects.

Later he took a field inspection of the area and inquired locals about their lifestyle and living conditions.

It is pertinent to note here that Ota has been appointed the head of the task force to spearhead inspection of developmental works of the area which saw series of horrendous child deaths in a space of few months allegedly over malnutrition last year.
