Bhubaneswar: In the wake of continued protests against the proposal to set up the second campus of Rama Devi (RD) Women’s University on the premises of Utkal University, the State Government has revamped the committee to identify a suitable location for the new campus.

In this regard, Higher Education Minister Ananta Das held a discussion with Utkal University Vice-Chancellor SM Patnaik yesterday. The committee, which was earlier formed for identification of land for the second campus of the women’s university was revamped. Besides VCs of both the varsities, the panel includes Higher Education Department Director, Khurda Collector and Additional Secretary to the Estate Director of General Administration department.

After the meeting, the Minister informed that the committee will submit a report on identification of a suitable location for the second campus, if it is not feasible to set up the same in Utkal University.

The panel will be directed to submit the report by March 15, said Das.
