Puri: After the Bahuda Yatra of Lord Jagannath and his siblings on Monday, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) is all set to conduct the 'Suna Besha' of the Trinity today.
The divine deities will be adorned with huge quantities of gold jewelleries.The Suna Besha, also known as Raja Besha, will be performed from 5pm to 6.30pm.
Lakhs of devotees are expected to throng the place to catch a glimpse of the gold-clad deities aboard their chariots.
In view of this, the SJTA has made elaborate security arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the ritual. Besides CCTVs, a three-tier security system has been put in place for the mega event. Arrangements have also been made to manage traffic during the event.
SJTA chief administrator Pradeep Jena said," We expect more devotees during Suna Besha. Accordingly, SJTA has taken all measures to ensure that the rituals are performed smoothly and on time so that the devotees don't face any problem witnessing the avatar of the lords. The servitors have also ensured to start the rituals ahead of its schedule."
