Rajesh Verma appointed as Principal Secy to CM

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today effected a minor reshuffle in the senior IAS cadre and appointed Rajesh Verma as Principal Secretary to Chief Minister.

"I will work hard to give best services to the people," Sharma told the media.

An Odisha cadre IAS officer of 1987 batch, Verma replaced UN Behera who took oath as the chairman of Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC). Prior to his new assignment, Verma was the Principal Secretary, Energy.

Besides, 1995 batch IAS officer and CMD, Grid Corporation of Odisha and Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (OPTCL), Hemant Sharma is given additional charge of Energy, a General Administration notification said.
