Bhubaneswar: Several places in the State are likely to experience rains under the influence of a depression over central Bay of Bengal from this evening, forecast the Regional Meteorological Centre here.

Heavy rains are likely in coastal, northern and southern  parts of the State as the well marked low pressure formed over the sea will turn into a depression in few hours, the met further stated.

Sarat Sahu, director, Regional Meteorological Centre, said, "The condition will prevail for next four-five days."

Intensity of rains will increase on October 19 in northern parts of the State.

Meanwhile, the southwestern monsoon had withdrawn from the State completely, Sahu had informed yesterday.
