New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today carried out searches at 12 locations including Puri and Bhubaneswar with regard to irregularities in tender floated for maintenance of hotel during regime of former railway minister and RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav.

The sleuths searched the Chanakya BNR hotel, Puri, in connection with the case.

Sources said the operations are being carried out basing on FIRs filed against Ministry of Railways (while Lalu Yadav was the Railways minister) for illegally leasing out Hotel BNR in Ranchi and Puri to Sujata Corporation in 2006 for development, maintenance and operation.

Cases have been registered against the then railway minister Lalu Yadav, wife Rabri Devi, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and his son Tejashwi, the then IRCTC MD, P K Goyal, the wife of Yadav's confidante Prem Chand Gupta, Sujata, and others.
