Rourkela: Bandhamunda police today arrested three persons including a Railway mechanic fitter on the charge of defrauding the job aspirants with a promise to provide them jobs in Indian Railways.

The arrested have been identified as Harry Anthony alias Harry, Bilkan Bhengra and Sugan Gudia. While Harry works as a mechanical fitter in Indian Railways, Bilkan  and Sugan are officials of GEL Church in Rourkela.

Police seized several fraudulent documents including duplicate identity appointment letters from their possession further investigation into the matter is on.

Police was on the hunt for the three fraudsters who had duped around Rs 19 lakh from several persons on pretext of providing them jobs in Indian Railways.

Notably, a similar case came to fore on September 6 this year when Commissionerate Police arrested a Railway employee from neighbouring Jharkhand state on charges of defrauding Rs 22 lakh from five youths including a girl with the promise of Railway jobs.
