Bhubaneswar: Singing sensation of Odisha, Satyajeet Jena, who recently quit SaReGaMaPa Lil Champs on Zee TV, today clarified that doctors' advice to refrain from putting more pressure on his vocal cords forced him to pull out of the national level reality show event.

Talking to OTV, the little wonder said "Doctors advised me not to sing more now as my voice is going through a transformation phase. Moreover, the grand finale of the show was initially scheduled to be held on July 2 and 3, but the duration was extended later."

"If I continue to sing during this period, I would not able to sing for my life time. So, I decided to quit the event," Jena added.

The seventh standard student Jena, hailing from Tura of Anandpur in Keonjhar district, captivated the music lovers across the globe in the audition round with his song 'Mile ho tum humko’. Since then, he had been stealing the hearts of judges and music lovers with the enchanting songs during various episodes of the programme.

His song ‘Mile ho tum humko’ went viral and garnered 4.2 million votes on You Tube from worldwide.

He left most co-contestants crying while most parents were moist eyed. The judges also expressed their concern about the little singer putting so much pressure on his vocal cords at a crucial age.

However retaining his position as most popular singer as per audience voting, Jena in his last episode also emerged as the highest voted Lil Champ.
