Pyarimohan has created a niche for himself in Odisha politics: Naveen Patnaik

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today in praise of late Ex-Rajya Sabha MP Pyarimohan Mohapatra termed him as a great politician.

During a press meet here, Patnaik said, "I am distressed at the passing away of former MP Pyarimohan Mohapatra. He had a distinguished career as a civil servant and is known for his hard work and calibre. Later he came to politics and became a MP. In politics too he has proved his mettle."

Praising Mohapatra further, the Chief Minister said, “Through his organisational skills and political acumen he has created a niche for himself in Odisha politics."

Patnaik paid his condolences to Mohapatra's family saying, "My deep sympathies are with the bereaved family members; may his soul rest in peace."
