Puri girl misbehaviour, Subhadra's idol touching row: SJTA submits CCTV footage

Bhubaneswar: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) today submitted CCTV footage with Kumbharpada police in connection with the Gundicha Temple girl misbehaviour and touching of Subhadra’s idol controversy.

A special team of SJTA today handed over the CCTV footage to Kumbharpada police after scrutiny for further investigation into the allegations related to the two incidents.

Earlier, through a social media post, a girl alleged molestation of women by a policeman in the crowd during ‘darshan’ at Gundicha temple and tagged her post to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Later, a special team headed by a sub-inspector started probe into her allegations.

Similarly, a police official was accused of touching the idol of Devi Subhadra during the pahandi ceremony. IG (Central Range) was entrusted to conduct a detailed investigation into the allegations.
