Bhubaneswar: In a respite to bus passengers stranded across the State, the All Odisha Private Bus Owners’ Association today called off its indefinite state-wide stir after the Odisha government agreed to its demands.

The association's spokesperson Debasis Nayak, after a general body meeting of the union, informed about the decision.
As the government has accepted all our demands and assured us to take necessary steps, the association has decided to call off the stir, said Nayak.

The private bus owners had been demanding toll exemption, clarity on route map of JNNURM city buses and also rollback of hike in motor vehicle tax among others.
Buses were off roads since 6 AM today due to the strike.
