Dhenkanal: Kamakhyanagar Police on Saturday informed that the prime accused in two murders committed on June 5 and November 24 has been arrested. Police have also arrested two others in this connection.

As per reports, prime accused identified as one Purshotam Sahu of Patharakata village along with his two associates allegedly murdered Deepak Biswal and Diptiranjan Sahu of Nua Muhuli village under Kamakhyanagar police limits in Dhenkanal district.

While arresting the accused and his associates, police officials reportedly seized two bolero vehicles and mobile phones from them.

According to reports, Purshotam allegedly murdered Deepak and Diptiranjan separately over some obscene photographs.

"On June 5 we had recovered the body of Deepak Biswal. To cover up the crime, the accused Purshotam murdered Diptiranjan as well," said Dhenkanal SP, Basanta Panigrahi.
