Priest stoned to death in Khurda

Khurda: In a gruesome act, a temple priest of Gediaoalli village under Begunia police limits was allegedly stoned to death by some unknown miscreants on Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Debraj Mohapatra.

It is suspected that the assailants killed Mohaptra while he going to the temple for puja in the morning today.

Some villagers found Mohaptra lying dead with his cycle near a pond at Gediaoalli village in the morning today and informed the local police about it.

Begunia police rushed to the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
