Bhubaneswar: With the capital city all set to organise a two-day Make in Odisha Conclave beginning at the Janata Maidan on December 1, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik presided over a preparatory meeting to this effect at the State Secretariat here today.

“We will inform those who are associated with the industrial sector. The venue has already been finalised for the Conclave. The chief minister today unveiled the logo and brochure of the conclave at the meeting today. The logo and brochure have been sent to our partners, district associations who are in the MSME sector who will coordinate with the IT and Biotech sectors. To ensure smooth coordination, a separate secretariat will be set up through which we will be able to get the response from the companies who are willing to participate in the Conclave and prepare a final list”, Industries minister Debi Prasad Mishra told media persons after the meeting.

He also said the Chief Minister directed the departments to finalise a new policy to create favourable environment for industries to set up their venture by November 10.

“Special emphasis would be given on chemicals, plastics and petro-chemicals, ancillary industries of mineral based industries, food processing, tourism, handloom and electronics”, Mishra said, adding several investors from India and abroad will attend the Conclave.

He also informed that the state government has decided to organise Make in Odisha Conclave in Kolkata, New Delhi and Chennai.

The Chief Minister unveiled a website of the Make in Odisha Conclave at the meeting.

Along with the Industries minister, other ministers including Jogendra Behera, Ashok Panda, Sanjay Dasburma and Pranab Prakash Das; chief secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi and principal secretaries and secretaries of the concerned departments were present at the meeting.
