Preparation for panchayat polls: BJD names 40 star campaigners

Bhubaneswar: Stepping up its preparation for ensuing panchayat polls starting from February 13 in the State, BJD today named 40 star campaigners for the party.

Chief minister Naveen Patnaik, senior leaders of the ruling party and Minister Damodar Rout, Bijayshree Routray, Debi Prasad Mishra are among the BJD star campaigners.

Rajya Sabha MPs Prasanna Acharya and AU Singh Deo and Surya Narayan Patro also featured in the list of BJD star campaigners.

Siddhant Mohapatra is the only Lok Sabha MP featured in the ruling party’s star campaigners list for the forthcoming panchayat polls.

Dilip Tirkey, Anubhav Mohanty and Akash Das Nayak are among the other BJD leaders included in the list.

Cine celebrities including Mihir Das, Trupti Das, Kuna Tripathy, Arindam are also included in the list of BJD star campaigners.
