Mayurbhanj/Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Dharemendra Pradhan will launch the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan scheme in the State from Haripur in Badasahi of Mayurbhanj district today.

Under the scheme, the Centre has targeted to identify 400 neglected villages of the State and extend benefits of seven central schemes to every household of the villages.

On the other hand, BJP alleges the State government is not cooperating the Centre to implement the scheme which was launched across the country on April 24.

BJP State general secretary Prithviraj Harichandan said States as such as Telengana, West Bengal and Kerala where Opposition parties are in power, the Central scheme is being implemented with sincerity.

"But, the Odisha government is not interested to implement the Central projects in the State due to differences in political ideologies," Harichandan stated.

Refuting the charges BJD stated the saffron party is making the allegations only to draw attention.

"Who says there is non-cooperation from the State government? Let the BJD give instances when money under different Central schemes remains unutilised, then only these charges will hold some ground. As the saffron party wants to be in limelight, it is raking up issues unnecessarily," stated Samir das, BJD spokesperson.
