Bhubaneswar/ Sundargarh: Union Petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan is among the senior leaders attending the proceedings of the second day of the BJP State executive meeting here, which began this morning.

Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, senior leader Giridhar Gamang and the partt's state unit president Basanta Panda are the others who are taking part in the deliberations on the last day of the two-day programme, which is chalking out the strategy for the Panchayat polls next year.

The State executive body meeting is being organised in Sundargarh for the first time.

The saffron party had recently announced it would establish shakti kendras in every panchayat, which would act as the party’s nodal centres to reach out to the people and spread the success stories of the NDA government at the Centre. The party plans to use them as its focal points in rural areas during the panchayat elections in 2017.
