Bhubaneswar: The Centre would provide complete cooperation to the Odisha government for skill development of its youths, said Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday.

Addressing the concluding ceremony of the two-day ‘Odisha Skills 2018’ competition organised by the Odisha Skill Development Authority, Pradhan stated the State government needs to work hard to ensure skill development of its youths.

A total of Rs 5,000 crore will be spent in next two years for development of skills, the Union Minister informed.

Meanwhile, he lambasted the State government for non-utilisation of funds.

The Centre had given Rs 88 crore to the Odisha government to train 58,000 students in four years. “But the allocated fund remains unutilised,” rued Pradhan.

He unveiled a book and felicitated meritorious students during the ceremony as well.
