Bhubaneswar: The Congress activists led by Congress Odisha unit vice-president and former MP Pradip Majhi ended their six-day hunger strike after submitting a memorandum to Governor SC Jamir today.

Majhi, who along with five others, was on a hunger strike in front of Raj Bhavan here, demanded compensation of Rs 12 lakh each to the families whose children died due to Japanese Encephalitis (JE). The Congress leader also demanded fulfilment of 55 doctors' post at the hospitals in Malkangiri district.
