Prabhat Biswal cries foul, says victim of political conspiracy

Bhubaneswar: Hours after his arrest in connection with Seashore chit fund scam, BJD’s Choudwar-Cuttack MLA, Prabhat Biswal termed CBI’s action as a ‘political conspiracy.’

Biswal, while coming out of the CBI court today evening cried foul and alleged injustice against him.

Meanwhile, Biswal has been sent on 5-day CBI remand for further interrogation in connection with the Seashore scam.

After arresting Biswal, the investigating agency produced Biswal in CBI court seeking 5 days’ remand.

Police had a tough time in taking Biswal out of the court as large number of BJD activists gathered outside the court in support of Biswal.

Following Biswal’s arrest, BJD lambasted the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government of misusing the CBI to settle political scores.

BJD said, Biswal’s arrest was political motivated and questioned the functioning and investigation by CBI.

Biswal was arrested after a brief interrogation at CBI’s regional office in Bhubaneswar last night.
