Posters urging servitors to boycott Rath Yatra coordination meet found in Puri

Puri: Posters urging servitors of the Puri Jagannath temple to refrain the Rath Yatra coordination meeting for this year were found put at different places in the pilgrim town today.

The posters released by the Shri Jagannath Sevayat Sammilani (SJSS) claimed that the district administration has defamed the servitors' society over the Niladri Bije issue last year. It stated that the repute of the servitors’ community has been hampered the way district administration campaigned incident of climbing chariot by a servitor’s family. The district administration defamed the servitors’ society globally, the posters said.

The SJSS urged the representatives of the servitors’ community to stay away from this year’s Rath Yatra Coordination Meeting, to be convened by the district administration.
