Post-poll violence continues unabated in J’singhpur

Jagatsinghpur: Post-poll violence was witnessed at Ibirisingh square in Jagatsinghpur district on late last night as three shops at the square were allegedly set on fire by BJD supporters.

Some Congress activists have alleged that following a dispute during rally of a victorious BJD candidate at the place, the supporters of the candidate set the three shops on fire late last night. The congress activists had also organised a dharna demanding arrest of the accused.

Police reached the spot for investigation after occurrence of the incident. The amount of properties damaged is still not estimated. Tension is prevailing in the area.
