Bhubaneswar: Incidents of poll violence on campus were reported from various colleges across the State today two days after nomination filing process got over.

The Students’ Union poll was cancelled in the University Law College and girls’ hostel inmates were asked to leave the rooms immediately.

On the other hand, miscreants hurled two bombs at Maharshi College building in Bhubaneswar following which police were deployed on the premises.

In Puri, irate students of SCS College fought a pitched battle with police who tried to stop them from ransacking the college. During the scuffle, the IIC was injured in an attack by students.

In Jeypore, students of Bikramdeb College sat on a dharna causing tension on the campus.

Meanwhile, students of Kakatpur Mangala College damaged furniture over rejection of nomination of a presidential aspirant.
