Poll fever already setting in across college campuses

Bhubaneswar: It’s the same time of the year again! The clamour of last year’s campus elections is long settled and the fresh rustle of this year’s polls is being felt across colleges in Odisha.

Though the official dates are not yet announced, posters and hoardings have reared their heads as aspirants are already on the job to build a rapport with their juniors and colleagues.

While some are extending a gracious welcome to freshers others are handing out visiting cards.

“Our seniors’ behaviour is very congenial. They are also helping us a lot,” said Sanjukta, a first year student of Rajdhani College in Bhubaneswar.

“Felling really happy and excited. Seems like our seniors are trying to garner our support for the upcoming elections,” said another student of Rajdhani College.

Not only in Rajdhani College, same is the environment in the another prestigious college BJB in the capital city.

“This is not at all for elections. We are doing so to welcome our juniors. If we have their trust and faith then it will help us in future,” said Sujit Dalei, a probable poll contestant of Rajdhani College.
