Police official among two killed in road mishap in Balasore

Balasore: Two persons, including an ASI of police were killed after the bike they were travelling on was hit by an unidentified vehicle on NH-60 near Rajghat under Basta block of Balasore district last night.

The deceased have been identified as ASI Bijay Kumar Das and his sister-in-law. The ASI was posted at the SDPO office at Jaleswar.

The incident took place when the two were going towards Baisinga in Mayurbhanj district. While the two died on the spot, the bodies were sent to Basta Community Health Centre (CHC) early this morning.

Police said further investigation is on in connection with the incident.
