Angul: Two persons have been arrested by police today in connection with the recent incident of murder of a couple and their son at Gambharimaliha village in Kishorenagar block of Angul district.
The two, identified as Nanda Kishore Sethi and his brother-in-law Babula Behera, have been arrested by police after being detained under suspicion. Loot and political rivalry is the reason behind the incident, informed Angul SP Brijesh Ray.
Earlier on Tuesday, bodies of Biranchi Nayak, his wife Tarani Nayak and their ten-year-old son Naba, who were staying in a thatched house on the outskirts of the village, were found in three different places with their throats slit.
While Tarini's body was found near the house, Biranchi's body was found nearly 40 km away at Topdala and their son's body was spotted another 10 km away in a forest.
Preliminary investigations revealed some amount of cash was missing from the house of Biranchi.
