Police arrests three over youth murder for lewd remarks to girlfriend in Rourkela’s Jalda

Rourkela: Raghunathpalli police on Saturday arrested all three accused involved in beating a youth to death for passing lewd comments to a one of their girlfriend in Jalda area of steel city on Friday.

All three friends of the deceased Paklu Oram identified as Ajay Lohar, Rohan Mumbhar and Shankar Tudu who were earlier detained in connection with the murder have been forwarded to court.

It is noteworthy to mention here that one of them, Ajay asked Paklu out on Thursday night and as pre-planned he took him to an isolated place two kms away from Carmel School. There with the help of his other two friends, Ajay mercilessly attacked Paklu by means of iron rods and later crushed him to death.

"Paklu ‘s kin searched his whereabouts after he went missing on night of March 23 and later found his dead body the next day. Subsequently they lodged a complaint and we apprehended three in connection with the alleged murder. All three of the accused have confessed that they had murdered Paklu," Raghunathpalli IIC Manas Swain told media persons.
