Plus-II girl student molested inside classroom by classmates

Bhubaneswar: On a day when Odisha police laid out plans to make educational institutions 'crime free' zones, an incident of a girl student being molested inside a classroom in Athgarh in Cuttack couldn’t have proved more shocking.

The incident was reported from SST College in Gurudijhati under Cuttack rural police limits on Tuesday.

The victim, a plus II student was allegedly molested and misbehaved by two of her classmates. The accused have been identified as Rajesh Parida and Anil Parida.

"I was returning home when one of my friends Rajesh asked me to accompany him to the classroom as he wanted to talk on some issue. Later, he called Anil and they locked the classroom and misbehaved with me," said the victim.

The college principal lodged a complaint in police station after the girl narrated her ordeal.

Police have detained the two students and further investigation in connection with the incident is on.
