Bhubaneswar: After the March 14 question paper fiasco that left examinees bewildered, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) will conduct the examination for Chemistry paper today.

More than one lakh students are likely to appear the examination scheduled to be held in more than 1100 centres with the sitting scheduled set to begin from 2 pm and continue till 5 pm.

Instructions have been laid out to open the question packets in presence of centre observers. Examiners have been asked to report any irregularities if any, immediately.

The Chemistry paper was earlier scheduled to be held on March 16 but, on March 14, chemistry question papers were found inside Mathematics question packets in at least 14 different examination centres. Following the incident the CHSE scrapped the Chemistry paper and rescheduled the exam date to March 30.

Odisha School and Mass Education Department Minister Debi Mishra had directed Controller of examinations of CHSE to probe into the irregularities.
