The allegations of plastic eggs were reported from two schools in the district - St Mary’s School in Baripada and Krushnachandrapur M.E School.

Earlier, an FIR was lodged by the parents association in connection with the case with Krushnachandrapur police. The preliminary report by the local block education officer had suggested that the eggs found in St Mary’s School appeared to be ‘unnatural’ as they were small in size and greasy than original ones.
