Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today effected a massive reshuffle in the IAS and OAS cadre.
According to a General Administration (GA) department notification, 1988 batch IAS Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra has been appointed as new principal secretary, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare with additional charge as Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) while 1991 batch IAS Madhusudan Padhi will take charge as principal secretary, Rural Development.
2003 batch IAS officer Srikant Prusty is appointed as director, Horticulture while his batch mate Dhiren Kumar Patnaik is the new additional secretary, Agriculture & Farmers Empowerment.
Besides, 2007 batch IAS Balwant Singh has been posted as director, Technical Education and Training with additional charge as director, Industries, 2008 batch officer M Muthukumar as joint secretary, Higher Education, 2009 batch officer D Prasanth K Reddy as joint secretary, Health & Family Welfare, 2009 batch officer Bijaya Ketan Upadhyay as director, Fisheries and 2010 batch officer Mansi Nimbhal as the director, State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT).
Apart from this, the state government has also transferred and posted eight IAS officers as district collectors. They are Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar- Rayagada, Yamini Sarangi- Jagatsinghpur, Samarth Verma- Sambalpur, Ashish Thakre- Balangir, Reghu G- Kandhamal, K Sudarshan Chakravarty- Malkangiri, Arindam Dakua- Nayagarh, Subham Saxena- PD DRDA, Mayurbhanj, Manisha Banerjee- ADM, Rourkela (with additional charge as Administrator, Rourkela Municipal Corporation), Madhusmita Sahoo- PD DRDA, Koraput, Kalunge Vijaya Amruta- PD DRDA, Ganjam and Gavli Parag Harshad- PD DRDA, Malkangiri.
In the senior OAS cadre, Sashi Bhusan Padhi has been appointed as Registrar, Cooperative Odisha,Purna Chandra Pathy as Deogarh collector and Jagannath Mohanty as additional secretary, Skill Development , the notification added.
