Piped gas distribution scheme from Oct 20 in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Piped gas distribution will be launched by Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on October 20, said Ashutosh Karnatak Director (projects) of GAIL on Wednesday.

In the first phase, piped gas will be provided to 255 families in Nalco Nagar in Bhubaneswar under the Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga Yojana.

Later the piped gas facility will be extended to Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Angul, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundergarh, Deogarh and Jagatsinghpur in phases, the GAIL official added.

He added construction of four CNG stations is underway to facilitate the piped gas system.
